5 Alternatives to ManyPixels’ Subscription-Based Unlimited Graphic Design Services
In our humble opinion, our offer is one you can’t beat. But there are others offering unlimited graphic design services. So who should you pick? Let’s compare!
Table of Contents
Subscription-based unlimited graphic design services offer the perfect blend between speed, quality, and affordability. And so, hopping aboard the subscription-based design train is a no-brainer. But there are multiple options: which one should you choose?
Picture this. All of your creative needs are sent to a team of designers who polish each design to perfection. Your audience grows, and your business follows suit. And all that’s deducted from your account is a flat monthly fee.
Do you still think that sounds way too good to be true? Think again! Subscription-based design is a fantastic development (if we say so ourselves), making access to good design within reach.
We’re not the only fans. Our client base is growing, but so is the amount of competitors. Yep, you heard that right. There are others out there offering subscription-based design.
There once was a time when the options to meet your creative needs were limited. Not to mention the difficulties of the process. The hassle of hiring someone, figuring out how to price graphic design services, unreliable results… There had to be an easier way.
With that in mind, subscription-based design entered the market and changed the game. Suddenly, graphic design services were affordable, and the process became much more straightforward.
The idea is simple. You pay an (often flat) monthly fee, and in return, a team of skilled designers works on your design requests. Instead of worrying about hiring processes or designers that make a run for it pre-deadline, everything is taken care of.
What are graphic design services?
Are we going a little too fast? Apologies if we’re skipping ahead - as you can tell, we’re just really excited about graphic design! But let’s backtrack a bit and answer the question: What are graphic design services?
In short: they are services that graphic designers offer. This ranges from branding to social media graphics to web design. There is a lot to unpack, and especially if you’re planning on hiring a freelancer, you need to know your illustrators from your typography designers.
With a subscription-based design company, things get a little easier. Instead of learning everything there is to know about design, you outsource the total package. A team of versatile designers can take on a large scope of graphic design services. And with a flat fee, you don’t have to worry about how to price graphic design services.
One of these subscription-based design companies is us: ManyPixels. Founded in 2018, we’ve grown into one of the leading subscription-based design services on the market.
We think our offer is one you can’t beat, so we could talk about ourselves for hours. But we want you to make a well-informed decision. That’s why we’ll have a peek at our competitors to see which options out there suit your needs best.
We’re first going to toot our own horn here. After all, we know everything there is to know about our offer. For you to compare us to others, we want to show you exactly what we’re bringing to the table.
An overview of ManyPixels
Scale up your creative content production with our reliable and hassle-free online graphic design service. At the time of writing, we’ve successfully completed over 125.000 designs for a wealth of different companies.
No matter the size or industry you operate in, with our design services by your side, all of your creative needs are taken care of.
How it works
Our way of working is as straightforward as it gets. This allows you to get your design within days rather than weeks. There are three steps:
- Submit your request - Let us know what you need by submitting a request on our platform. Here, you can delve into the specifics of your requirements and upload references and brand assets.
- Your designer(s) get to work - We assign a designer to your account whom we think is the best match for your creative needs.
- Receive your design - On our platform, you can stay in the loop of the progress of your design. Once it’s completed and approved by you, you receive full ownership of your designs.
Unlimited design and revisions
We have different plans available, but you are assured of unlimited design with each one. You can put in as many requests as you like, and a designer works on your requests each business day, delivering one daily output.
Delivering good design is a creative process, making it difficult to measure exact outputs. Here’s a global overview of what to expect:
- 2-3 social media graphics
- or 1-2 custom illustrations (more if they are not too complex)
- or 2-3 display ads
- or 4-5 pages of a brochure, e-book, report, or slide deck
- or 1 GIF draft (2-3 sec)
- or 1-2 flyers
- or 1 logo draft
- or the first draft of a landing page
If you received a design that’s not entirely to your liking, don’t sweat. On top of unlimited requests, we throw in unlimited revisions with all of our subscriptions. Our designers keep going until you’re happy. In the unhoped-for event of not getting it right even after multiple revisions, we will pair you with another designer whose skills better match your needs.
Our easy-to-use platform
ManyPixels is powered by technology. We created a convenient, user-friendly platform from where you can manage the design process from start to finish.
We’ll walk you through your design brief to ensure you receive the design you envisioned on our platform. From there, you can keep up with what your designer has been working on. There is the option to communicate with your designer, reach out for additional support and manage your different brands.
With ever-developing technologies and growing markets, you don’t just need any graphic design. You need good design, heck - the best graphic design you can possibly get. Let us tell you about our quality assurance process before you think something has to give between our affordability and our fast-paced results.
High-quality design is such an integral factor of our service that we start our quality process at the very beginning. We don’t just hire anyone but thoroughly try and test our designers.
Once we know we reeled in the crème de la crème, we only pair them with projects that match their skills. It doesn’t stop there; we keep checking in on the quality throughout each design process.
This way, you’re assured of working with battle-tested designers only and receive high-quality design time and time again.
We understand that your business is like no other. You’re unique, and so are your creative needs from time to time. That’s why we created various plans for you to choose from.
Depending on your design needs, you can scale up or down between plans each month. There are no strings attached, no hidden costs, and a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Our most affordable plan is the Essentials plan. It’s a great asset to small businesses or entrepreneurs who need their everyday design taken care of.
Do you need more advanced designs, such as custom illustrations, GIFs, web design, or logos and branding? Our Advanced plan is the perfect fit.
Our most popular plan is our Business plan. This is everything you get with the Essential and Advanced plan but with double the output. This means you get two designers assigned to your account to work on your requests each business day.
Dedicated designer plan
The newest addition to our range is called the Dedicated designer plan. As the name suggests, you get your own dedicated designer assigned to your account. Your designer is available on Slack for real-time communication during business hours.
Now that you know what to expect when you pick one of our plans guaranteeing affordable graphic design services, let’s look at the competition.
Kimp is the first competitor we zoom in on. Like ManyPixels, Kimp offers unlimited requests and revisions for a flat monthly fee.
They offer one subscription for graphic design for $499 a month and one for video design for $599 per month. You can also subscribe to a plan that combines graphics and video design for $895 per month.
Kimp has quite an extensive range of graphic design services, from vehicle wraps to mascot design. We have to hand it to them; that’s pretty cool!
At Kimp, they use Zapier and Trello for their design process, which could be considered both a pro and a con. If you already use these systems, it’s pretty neat that you can stay in a familiar environment. But if you don’t use these platforms, you’ll have to sign-up and learn the ropes beforehand.
As mentioned before, Kimp offers quite an extensive range of design services from the most basic plan. There is one star missing in action, and that is web design.
Another con is that you only get seven days to try them out, and the options to submit requests during this trial are limited in number and in scope.
Finally, they only have one graphic design subscription available. This keeps things simple; however, there is no option to scale up or down with your needs for the month ahead.
The second design service we take a look at is Penji. They, too, offer a service you’re familiar with by now: submit unlimited design requests and receive results in 1-2 working days.
Penji has three different plans available, starting from $499 per month.
Just like us, Penji takes its quality assurance seriously. In fact, they have a nifty A.I. process that determines the most qualified designer for the job.
They keep things high-tech, even when it comes to revisions, which you can make directly in your design by using their app.
Especially their midrange plan is on the pricier side. If you need web design, you’ll have to pick the Team plan for $699 per month.
Additionally, Penji doesn’t offer real-time communication in any of their plans. Although it’s not always necessary, it’s nice to have the option if you have design needs that require a fast turnaround.
Up next, we’ve got Superside. This online graphic design company works with some pretty big names in the league. They offer four main plans, with a four-tiered pricing system in each one of them.
Their pricing starts at $4000 per month and goes up to $95,000 per month for the most premium package. Nope, that’s not a typo. It’s a hefty difference between the others on this list, most likely because they work on a price-per-hour basis.
One of the pros of a subscription at Superside is the possibilities. You can add a dedicated copywriter to the mix, which really cuts back time spent on hiring processes.
Another pro is that no matter how extensive your subscription is, you have one dedicated contact person. This manager oversees all of your design needs and helps you plan.
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Superside’s pricetag. Even their most basic plan is not affordable for most businesses out there.
And just when you thought you could perhaps invest in one month of high-quality design, get this: the minimum subscription commitment is one year.
4. Design Pickle
Design Pickle is an online graphic design service that, just like ManyPixels, offers unlimited design requests and revisions.
Their basic plan will set you back $499 per month. You can scale up twice, opting for a plan that offers more services as well as additional features.
Design Pickle is a bilingual company, first and foremost offering you the chance to speak with your designers in English. However, if you opt for their midrange plan, you can chat with your designers in Spanish. This is a big pro if Spanish is your native language since explaining your needs will become much easier.
Like our Dedicated designer plan, the midrange plan of Design Pickle offers real-time collaboration through Slack.
Design Pickle is only able to help you out with light web design. If you have more web design needs, you may have to hire an additional person or opt for a different company.
On top of that, the pricing of Design Pickle is worth mentioning here. Although their basic plan is only slightly more expensive than our Essential plan, their midrange plan is nearly double the price, and their top-tier plan comes in at $1695. If you compare it to Kimp, Penji, or ManyPixels, this is quite the difference.
Last but not least, there’s graphic design provider Kappa99. Like ManyPixels, they offer unlimited requests and revisions without tying you down to a contract.
They offer two plans, with the only difference being the turnaround time. Their Business plan is $399 per month, with the first two months for $249. Your design will be delivered in 24 to 48 hours.
The Business Express plan is $599 per month, with the first two months for $449. The delivery time is 12 to 24 hours.
At Kapa99, you can start your subscription with a free trial for 15 days. That’s pretty gullible, considering you can already submit unlimited requests during that time.
The pricing isn’t very flexible. For example, if you have increased needs one month due to a campaign coming up, there is no option to scale up. Your only option is to increase the delivery time.
Lastly, like many of the companies listed, they can’t help you with web design.
The choice is yours
Opting for a company that offers unlimited graphic design services for a flat monthly fee is a no-brainer. Which all options above offer. Among them, other standard practices are the offer of customer support and a trial period.
However, some differences set them apart. The pricing range and options, for example. Few options offer as competitive prices as ManyPixels, and often there are only a maximum of three plans available with significant pricing differences.
At ManyPixels, we pride ourselves on our flexibility. With four different plans available, there is bound to be one that fits your needs. And since we understand your needs vary from month to month, you can easily scale up and down without breaking the bank.
Another reason to pick yours truly is that we offer web design. Web design is an integral part of your business and can make or break your business. Most companies we listed back away from it, but we gladly put our skilled team of UI designers to work for you!
We’d love to tell you all about it, or better yet: show you. Book your live demo, and one of our friendly faces will talk you through our platform.
