ManyPixels vs Designjoy: pricing, speed and scope compared (2026)

TABLE OF CONTENTS

TL;DR
In 2026, ManyPixels is the better value for teams that need steady design volume. Plans start at $699/mo, and $2,599/mo gets you two dedicated designers. Designjoy costs $4,995/mo for one request at a time, all handled by its founder, but it includes Webflow development and UX work that ManyPixels doesn't offer. Choose Designjoy if you want a senior product designer who also builds. Choose ManyPixels if you need output.
- ✅ Best for marketing volume: ManyPixels Business ($1,199/mo, two daily outputs)
- ✅ Best for one senior designer who also builds your Webflow site: Designjoy ($4,995/mo)
- ❌ Skip Designjoy if you need video, motion graphics or GIFs, because it doesn't offer them
Designjoy charges $4,995 a month for one designer working on one request at a time. ManyPixels charges $2,599 a month for two dedicated designers. On paper, that makes ManyPixels vs Designjoy look like an easy call. It isn't quite that simple.
Be real: these two services sell different things. Designjoy sells access to one person. Founder Brett Williams runs the whole studio alone, and Webflow builds are part of the subscription. ManyPixels sells capacity: a managed design team that has delivered more than 150,000 projects since 2018.
So the useful question is which one fits your queue, not which one is "better." If you're still comparing the whole category, our guide to design subscription services covers the wider market.
Full disclosure: we're ManyPixels, so we have a stake in this. We've tried to be fair, and there's a whole section on where Designjoy is the better pick.
How much do ManyPixels and Designjoy cost in 2026?
Designjoy has a single plan at $4,995 per month, shown against a "regular" price of $5,995. ManyPixels has four plans, from $699 to $2,599 per month, with annual billing bringing the entry plan down to $559.
For the cost of one Designjoy subscription, you could run the ManyPixels Design Team and Business plans side by side and still have about $1,200 left.
The clearest way to compare them is cost per active work stream, meaning how much you pay for each piece of work that's moving at any one time.
Always check pages for current pricing. Pricing is updated October 2026.
To be fair, a ManyPixels daily output and a Designjoy request aren't exactly the same unit. With Designjoy, you're paying for one senior designer's judgment. That's worth a premium when the work is a product interface or a full brand system. It's much harder to justify for your 14th LinkedIn carousel of the month.
Bottomline: at about $600 per work stream on the Business plan, ManyPixels costs roughly an eighth of Designjoy for each piece of work in progress.
Which is faster, ManyPixels or Designjoy?
On a single request, the two are about equally fast. Designjoy says most requests are finished in two business days or less. ManyPixels delivers first drafts in 24 to 48 hours, with next-day updates on the Advanced and Business plans and same-day delivery on the dedicated designer plans. The real difference is how many requests can move at the same time.
Here's how that plays out. Say your queue has a landing page, ten social posts and a webinar banner. With Designjoy, those go through one at a time, in order. If the landing page takes two days, the social posts wait two days before anyone starts on them.
On the ManyPixels Business plan, two daily outputs run side by side. One can move the landing page forward while the other works through the social graphics (a typical daily output is two to three social graphics). Complex projects still take several days at ManyPixels too. The difference is that you get daily progress updates, and the rest of your queue keeps moving.
"Where ManyPixels really excels is the ability to quickly send something through the portal and know we'll get a first draft back within 24-48 hours." Josh Christy, CEO, Codelation
Holiday cover matters too. ManyPixels works Monday to Friday all year and closes only on December 25 and January 1. Designjoy is one person, and we couldn't find a published policy on what happens to your queue when the founder is away (in this Reddit thread the founder says all subscriptions get paused). Ask about that anyway before you sign up.
Bottomline: if your queue rarely holds more than one or two items, the speeds are about the same. Once you're regularly queueing three or more, the one-at-a-time model becomes the bottleneck.
What can each service design?
Designjoy covers product-side work that ManyPixels doesn't, including Webflow development, UX design, app interfaces and MVP builds. ManyPixels covers marketing production that Designjoy doesn't, including motion graphics, video editing, GIFs and long-form print such as brochures and ebooks. Both handle branding, social graphics, ads, presentations and landing page design.

Worth knowing: Designjoy's exclusions are easy to miss until you actually need one of them. If your content plan includes short video ads, animated social posts or a quarterly report, Designjoy won't cover them and you'll need a second vendor.
Bottomline: Designjoy's scope suits product teams, and ManyPixels' scope suits marketing teams.

Is a one-person design studio a risk?
It's a trade-off rather than a flaw. Designjoy's FAQ says the studio employs no other designers and outsources nothing. That gives you consistent taste and a direct line to the person doing the work. It also means there's no backup cover and a single creative style across everything you ship.
Here's the strongest case for the Designjoy model. A lot of teams have been burned by agencies where a senior person pitches and a junior person delivers. With Designjoy, that can't happen. The person you hire is the person who designs, and independent reviews such as Hatchwise's point to that directness as the main draw.
The catch is concentration. One person means one point of failure and one creative style. At ManyPixels, the Assigned Designer and Design Team plans give you the same consistency, because you choose a designer who works in your timezone and talks to you on Slack. Behind them, a project manager and quality controller keep work moving.
Working with the same designer has been a game changer. She understands my vision so well, I can give minimal direction and still get it right the first time. - Katya Sarmiento, Owner, Reach and Make Millions
On the other hand, if your assigned designer doesn’t prove to be the right fit, you can always try working with another from our pool of designers.
Bottomline: if you want a named designer without betting your whole pipeline on one person, a dedicated designer plan gets you most of the upside with much less risk.
Where Designjoy is the better choice

Designjoy wins in a few specific situations, and we'd point you there without hesitation.
You need a site built, not just designed. Designjoy includes Webflow development and hands the finished site over to your account. Our own site runs on Webflow, so we know how much a clean build is worth. ManyPixels designs the pages, but you'd need a developer to build them.
You're designing a product. App interfaces, UX flows and MVP builds are central to Designjoy's offer. At ManyPixels, UX design and prototyping are out of scope.
You want a softer landing. Designjoy refunds 75% if you cancel in the first week. Its 31-day billing cycle also lets you pause mid-cycle and keep your unused days for later.
Designjoy
Best for: Funded startups that need one senior designer for product UI and a Webflow build ✅
Not ideal for: Marketing teams with a steady queue of campaigns, social posts and video ❌
ManyPixels
Best for: Marketing teams and agencies that need consistent output across many asset types ✅
Not ideal for: Teams that need a developer to code and ship the website ❌
Which one should you choose?
If your design needs are mostly marketing assets (social posts, ads, emails, decks), then 👉 choose ManyPixels. The Business plan gives you two work streams and video for $1,199.
If you need a Webflow site designed and built by one person, then 👉 choose Designjoy. That combination is hard to find in any subscription.
If you want your own designer on Slack in your timezone, then 👉 choose ManyPixels Assigned Designer at $1,399, which is less than a third of Designjoy's price.
If you're submitting fewer than a handful of requests a month, then neither subscription may pay off. Our breakdown of freelancers vs full-time designers vs design subscriptions will help you work out where the break-even point is.
How ManyPixels compares

- More output for the money, with two daily outputs for $1,199/mo compared with one request for $4,995/mo
- Motion graphics and video editing on the same subscription (Business plan and up)
- A dedicated designer in your timezone on Slack, with a team behind them
- Unlimited brands, native source files and full IP transfer on every plan
- Pause for $10/mo when things are quiet, with all your files kept
FAQs
The bottom line
👉 For most marketing teams, ManyPixels is the stronger buy. It gives you more work in progress, video and motion, and a dedicated designer for well under half of Designjoy's price. Designjoy earns its $4,995 in one specific case: a startup that wants one senior designer to both design and build its product site. Choose Designjoy for a single senior builder. Choose ManyPixels for volume.
