Best DesignBro alternatives in 2026: 5 options with prices you can actually see

TABLE OF CONTENTS

TL;DR:
DesignBro no longer runs design contests. It now works as a quote-only design agency, so the $199 to $479 logo packages you'll still find in most reviews are gone.
- ✅ Best overall: ManyPixels, from about $699/mo, covering logos, brand identity, packaging and web design with a vetted in-house team.
- 🎨 Closest to the old DesignBro contests: 99designs (from $249) or crowdspring (from $299).
- 💰 Watch the promo pricing: Kimp's $698.50 rate lasts 4 months, then it's $1,397/mo.
Most pages ranking for DesignBro alternatives were written about a company that doesn't exist anymore. They describe a curated design contest: you write a brief, a handful of vetted designers pitch concepts, you pick three finalists, and you pay a fixed price for the winner. That was DesignBro's whole pitch, and it was a good one.
When we checked designbro.com in November 2026, that model was gone. The homepage now describes "an expert in-house team," the only buying option is a "Request a quotation" button, and the old pricing page simply loads the homepage. So if you landed here after hitting a quote form instead of a price list, you're not imagining it.
That changes what a good alternative looks like. The right pick depends on what you actually liked about DesignBro: the choice of concepts, or the vetted team. Below are five options, and every one of them shows its price before you talk to anyone.
What happened to DesignBro's pricing?
DesignBro switched from a fixed-price design contest platform to a quote-only creative agency with an in-house team. Its old packages, such as logo design from $199 to $479 and packaging from $499 to $1,034, are no longer listed. You now request a quotation and get a custom price for each project.
The old prices survive mostly in third-party reviews. LancerReview's DesignBro review, last updated in February 2024, lists the full set: logo design $199 to $479, brand identity $399 to $679, packaging $499 to $1,034 and website design $499 to $779. Those figures still get repeated across roundups, but you can't buy at any of them today.
Two things are worth knowing. First, the change hasn't fully reached the rest of the site: at the time of writing, the DesignBro FAQ still walks through the contest process. Second, reviews have gone quiet. DesignBro's Trustpilot page shows a 4.3/5 TrustScore across 173 reviews, but only 3 of them came in the last 12 months.
DesignBro isn't alone here. Design Pickle also removed its public pricing and now quotes every customer on a call. If one of the things you're leaving behind is not knowing the price, that's why there are no quote-only services on this list.
Bottom line: if you want DesignBro's old experience at a fixed, visible price, you now have to get it somewhere else.
Prices are approximate and change often. Check each provider's pricing page before buying. ManyPixels pricing is current at manypixels.co/pricing.
1. ManyPixels: DesignBro's vetted team, at a price you can see
{{GENERAL_PORTFOLIO="/dev/components"}}
Starting price: $699/mo (Advanced), less on quarterly and yearly billing
Model: Flat-rate design subscription with an in-house team
Turnaround: First drafts next business day, same day on the Assigned Designer plans
If what you valued about DesignBro was getting work from screened, professional designers, ManyPixels gives you that without the quote form. Every designer is a full-time team member, and the Advanced plan covers logo and brand identity design, packaging and labels, print, web design, and illustration. That's every project type DesignBro used to sell, plus the launch assets you'll need right after them.
The trade-off is the model. ManyPixels isn't a contest, so you don't get 30 concepts from 30 strangers. You get a daily output every business day: one logo draft, or a first pass at a packaging layout, or two or three social graphics. Bigger projects like a full brand identity take several days, with progress delivered daily. And if you only ever need one logo, a single contest will cost less than a month of subscription.
✅ Best for: Founders and small brands who need a logo, then packaging, then a website and launch graphics.
❌ Not ideal for: A one-off logo with nothing to follow it.
2. 99designs: the closest match to the old DesignBro contest

Starting price: $249 per logo contest (Bronze), plus sales tax
Model: Design contest, or 1-to-1 projects with a chosen designer
Turnaround: Depends on the contest; you set the brief and pick the winner
99designs, now owned by Vista, is the biggest contest platform, and it's the best fit if you miss seeing lots of concepts side by side. Logo contests come in four fixed packages: Bronze $249 (about 30 concepts), Silver $399 (about 60), Gold $799 (about 90, mid and top level designers only) and Platinum $1,050 (about 60, top level designers only, with a dedicated manager). Every package includes full copyright ownership and a 100% money-back guarantee.
The catch is curation. DesignBro limited each contest to a small number of vetted designers. On the Bronze and Silver packages at 99designs, the pool is open, so you'll sort through more uneven work to find the good concepts. The Gold and Platinum filters close that gap, but at $799 to $1,050 you're paying well above what DesignBro's old logo packages cost.
🎨 Best for: One logo or label where you want to compare lots of directions.
❌ Not ideal for: Ongoing work, since every new asset means a new contest and a new designer.
We cover the full contest landscape in our guide to 99designs alternatives.
3. crowdspring: a small, curated contest like DesignBro's

Starting price: $299 per logo project (Silver), award and fees included
Model: Design contest, or 1-to-1 projects from $200
Turnaround: As little as 1 to 7 days, per crowdspring
crowdspring has one package that looks a lot like the old DesignBro. Its Elite tier ($899) limits your project to 5 Elite designers and about 20 concepts, with an assured award plus tips. That's a small, vetted group competing on your brief, which was exactly DesignBro's pitch. The cheaper tiers work more like 99designs: Silver $299 (about 60 designs) and Gold $499 (about 90), with the top Platinum package at $1,199.
The refund policy is the clearest we found. If you're not happy, contact crowdspring within 30 days and it refunds what you paid. The limitation is the same as any contest: once the project ends, the designer goes back into the crowd. The 1-to-1 option helps here, since you can rehire a designer you liked, but each project is priced separately.
✅ Best for: Buyers who want DesignBro's small curated contest specifically.
❌ Not ideal for: Teams that need a steady flow of design work every week.
4. Penji: two projects at once, on a published plan
Starting price: $995/mo (Essentials)
Model: Design subscription, 2 active projects
Turnaround: 1 business day on Essentials
Penji lists "Branding & Logos" and "Print & Packaging" on its entry Essentials plan, so it covers DesignBro's main project types from day one. Essentials runs 2 active projects at a time, which Penji describes as 2 to 4 hours of design time a day, with a project manager and a 30-day money-back guarantee. There's no contract, and you can cancel anytime.
It costs about $300 a month more than ManyPixels' Advanced plan, and that money buys concurrency. If you regularly need two projects moving at the same time (say, a label redesign while the logo refresh is still in revisions), that can be worth it. If your work comes one project at a time, you're paying for capacity you won't use.
✅ Best for: Brands with two design projects in progress most weeks.
❌ Not ideal for: Buyers who mainly need one logo or one packaging project.
5. Kimp: cheap for four months, then twice the price

Starting price: $698.50/mo for the first 4 months, then $1,397/mo (Graphics)
Model: Design subscription, 3 active requests
Turnaround: 24 hours for simple tasks, 2 to 4 days for complex designs
Kimp's Graphics plan is broad. Logos, packaging and labels, print, landing pages, and website and UI design are all in scope, with a dedicated design team, a project manager and 3 active requests. There's also a 7-day free trial, which none of the other subscriptions here offer.
The catch is the price. The $698.50 rate is a 50% launch discount that lasts 4 months. From month five you pay $1,397/mo, which is double ManyPixels' Advanced plan. Kimp is good value for a short burst of work and expensive after that, so plan your exit or budget for the full rate.
💰 Best for: A 3 to 4 month rebrand or launch push with a clear end date.
❌ Not ideal for: Long-term design support at the intro price.
Should you still use DesignBro?
DesignBro still makes sense if you want one agency team to own a project and you're happy to get a custom quote. The reviews it collected while running contests are strong, so its designers clearly knew their craft. What we can't tell you is what the new agency model costs or how many concepts you'll see, because DesignBro doesn't publish either.
If you go that route, ask three questions before you agree to anything: how many initial concepts you'll get, how many revision rounds are included, and what extra SKUs or packaging variants cost. Under the old model, DesignBro's FAQ said extra SKUs were charged separately, so it's worth confirming how that works now.
Bottom line: request the quote if you like the team, but compare it against the published prices above before you sign.
Is a design contest or a subscription better than DesignBro?
A design contest is better if you need one logo or label and want to compare many concepts. A subscription is better if the logo is the start of a list: packaging, a website, social graphics and ads. Once you need more than one or two deliverables in a month, a subscription usually costs less per asset.
Here's a quick way to run the numbers using DesignBro's old prices as a benchmark. A top-tier DesignBro logo ($479) came to $1,513 in 2024, for two deliverables. A month of ManyPixels Advanced costs $699 and can cover both, plus the business cards, labels and launch graphics that usually follow. If you'd like to see what that month actually produces, here's what a small business gets for $699.
For packaging-heavy brands specifically, our roundup of packaging designers goes deeper.
How to choose a DesignBro alternative
If you miss seeing many concepts from different designers, 👉 start a 99designs contest. Pick Gold or above if you want the pool filtered.
If you specifically liked DesignBro's small, vetted contest, 👉 use crowdspring's Elite package, which caps it at 5 Elite designers.
If your logo is the first of many design jobs, 👉 ✅ choose ManyPixels. One team handles the logo, the packaging and everything after.
If you always have two projects in progress, 👉 look at Penji Essentials for its 2 active projects.
If you have a short, defined project window, 👉 Kimp's 4-month intro rate can work. Just put a cancellation reminder in your calendar.
Why small brands choose ManyPixels over DesignBro
- 💰 The price is on the page. $699/mo for Advanced, with no quote call and no contract.
- 🎨 Logo, brand identity and packaging are all covered on the entry plan, web design, illustration, with motion graphics and video editing, on the higher ones.
- ⚡ Work moves every business day, with first drafts the next day and daily progress on bigger projects.
- 🚀 The same designer can stay with you. 72% of customers choose a plan with their own assigned designer.
- You own everything, with full copyright transfer and native source files.
To me, it's great value to pay a monthly subscription and get access to an entire design team, instead of hiring a designer who would likely cost more.- Joe Howard, Founder, WP Buffs

FAQs
Bottom line
DesignBro's contest model is gone, so the best alternative depends on what you were buying it for. If you want lots of concepts for one logo, 99designs or crowdspring will feel familiar. If you want a vetted team that handles the logo, the packaging and everything after at a price you can see, ManyPixels is the strongest pick on this list.
